There are regular ferry services daily every couple of hours to Phi Phi island. Departing Rassada Pier in Phuket and arriving at Tonsai Pier in Phi Phi the journey takes approximately one and a half hours.

Most of the modern ferry boats offer air conditioned saloons and also sundecks for those who love things a little al fresco. Refreshments are available on board so you can have a snack whilst you enjoy the voyage.

Phuket

Phuket is one of the largest regions of Thailand and is situated in the Andaman Sea. Sometimes called the Pearl of the Andaman, Phuket is mountainous and is covered in tropical rainforest.

Phuket has a wide range of accommodation, and everything from luxury five star resorts to quaint boutique hotels is on offer. All types of tourists travel to Phuket as it has something for everybody.

There are 35 beaches on the island and every manner of water sport is catered for, for those that prefer a little less action there are plenty of quiet secluded beaches just to sit in the sun and chill.

Patong is the entertainment capital, where many bars, nightclubs and live music venues are concentrated.

For a taste of authentic Phuket then head down to Old Phuket Town, where the old streets are combined with beautiful, almost European styled buildings. Bijou cafes, Thai restaurants, and local markets combine to form a really picturesque old town.

Phi Phi

Phi Phi is actually a group of six islands with the most famous being Phi Phi Don. Perhaps the most recognisable is Phi Phi Leh which was the backdrop to the famous film starring Leonardo Di Caprio, “The Beach.”

Most tourists visiting Phi Phi opt to stay in traditional bamboo huts that are on the beach. There are other options open like 3 / 4 star hotels for those that like a little more comfort. However, there are no large resorts which is one of the main attractions of Phi Phi.
Most restaurants either serve fish or seafood which the local fishermen deliver on a daily basis. Most activities are based around the beach and the crystal clear waters, and many scuba divers love to visit the island to explore the many corals in the locality.
