Phi Phi is actually a group of six islands with the most famous being Phi Phi Don. Perhaps the most recognisable is Phi Phi Leh which was the backdrop to the famous film starring Leonardo Di Caprio, “The Beach.”
Most tourists visiting Phi Phi opt to stay in traditional bamboo huts that are on the beach. There are other options open like 3 / 4 star hotels for those that like a little more comfort. However, there are no large resorts which is one of the main attractions of Phi Phi.
Most restaurants either serve fish or seafood which the local fishermen deliver on a daily basis. Most activities are based around the beach and the crystal clear waters, and many scuba divers love to visit the island to explore the many corals in the locality.
